KUWAIT: An Asian expatriate was arrested at Kuwait International Airport for attempting to smuggle 1.5 kilograms of heroin into the country. According to sources, while the customs officers were checking the baggage of the arriving passengers, they suspected one of the baggage with a secret compartment. They checked the baggage and found 1.5 kilograms of heroin. The officers arrested the suspect and discovered that he works as a taxi driver in Kuwait. During interrogations, he confessed that he intended to sell the drugs to his clients in Kuwait. He was referred with the drugs to the Directorate General for Drug Control for necessary legal action against him.
